Recognize the material

Anise hyssop has two-lipped flowers in dense spikes, toothed aromatic leaves, and square stems.

Botanical reference: Agastache foeniculum — NC State Extension

Make a deliberate design choice

Compare the upright spikes with a broad-headed flower rather than treating all purple materials as equivalent. Keep some spike length visible in a real trial; hiding it behind larger heads removes much of the contrast.

A comparison you can reproduce

Save a two-stem draft, then compare four with the focal count unchanged. Confirm Agastache foeniculum in Flower Finder; the SVG counts stems but does not draw each tiny flower.

The comparison is an original BLUMIVELA planning exercise, not a tested arrangement or a botanical treatment.
