Recognize the material

Rudbeckia hirta has a dark central disc surrounded by yellow to orange rays and rough, bristly stems and leaves. Other Rudbeckia species share its common name.

Botanical reference: Rudbeckia hirta — NC State Extension

Make a deliberate design choice

Look at the center as well as the rays when selecting a partner. A second yellow flower can create a different pattern if its center and outline differ. Confirm the species in a proposed substitution.

A comparison you can reproduce

Search Rudbeckia hirta, then compare three and five stems of the same color. Evaluate the real dark-center repetition separately: the SVG does not reproduce species-level floral detail.

The comparison is an original BLUMIVELA planning exercise, not a tested arrangement or a botanical treatment.
