Recognize the material

Campanula medium bears large broad bells on upright racemes. The upper leaves are smaller than the basal leaves, and the flowering stems are robust and hairy.

Botanical reference: Campanula medium — NC State Extension

Make a deliberate design choice

Turn a real raceme to see how many open bells face the intended viewing side. One purchased stem with a full raceme can occupy very different space from one with only a few open flowers.

A comparison you can reproduce

Compare two Canterbury Bells stems with two Peach-leaved Bellflower stems in separate drafts. Confirm their exact names and inspect the real spacing; not every plant called blue bells is interchangeable.

The comparison is an original BLUMIVELA planning exercise, not a tested arrangement or a botanical treatment.
