Recognize the material

Cosmos bipinnatus has broad rays around a central disc and finely divided thread-like leaves. Both the open head and lacy foliage contribute to its outline.

Make a deliberate design choice

Try a stem at the edge of a dense flower group before adding filler. If broad leaves hide all its fine foliage, the result will differ from the airy appearance in a garden photograph.

A comparison you can reproduce

Start with three cosmos stems and no extra foliage. Add a foliage line only after a real trial. Count supplier stems rather than each fine division; the SVG does not reproduce the leaf network.

The comparison is an original BLUMIVELA planning exercise, not a tested arrangement or a botanical treatment.
