Recognize the material

Nigella damascena flowers have a fine frame of divided bracts; inflated pods develop later. Bloom and pod stages create different outlines.

Botanical reference: Nigella damascena — NC State Extension

Flowers or seed pods?

Look beyond the flower color to its green frame. If later pods are the aim, ask for them explicitly rather than treating a photograph of flowers as evidence of the product being supplied.

A comparison you can reproduce

Plan two flowering stems, then keep a separate note for a pod-stage alternative. The app does not forecast development or convert flowers into pod counts. Keep actual stem quantities and supplier prices distinct.

The comparison is an original BLUMIVELA planning exercise, not a tested arrangement or a botanical treatment.
