Recognize the material

Achillea millefolium combines tiny heads into relatively flat clusters above finely divided aromatic leaves.

Botanical reference: Achillea millefolium — NC State Extension

Make a deliberate design choice

Compare the cluster as a surface beside a spherical head. Keeping several clusters level makes a different outline from varying their heights. Choose after viewing real materials from the position where the display will be seen.

A comparison you can reproduce

Compare two Common Yarrow stems with two Fernleaf Yarrow stems in separate drafts. Check real cluster size and color rather than assuming the shared genus makes them identical. Historical medicinal associations are not instructions for florist material.

The comparison is an original BLUMIVELA planning exercise, not a tested arrangement or a botanical treatment.
